Ebbie Bess Lawson Jr.

Ebbie Bess Lawson Jr. ,83, of Clarksville, Indiana was called home on Sunday, June 7, 2015. He was born on August 27, 1931 in Lancaster, Kentucky to Ebbie and Ethel Lawson. Ebbie worked in car sales and was a manager for many years. He was an Army veteran, a member of the Shriners, and enjoyed playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends.

Ebbie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Peggy Sue (Wheatley) Lawson; children, Debra Stanley(Brian), JoEllyn Hewitt(Mark), Joseph Patton Smith, Charles Wade Smith(Kim); sister, Peggy Williams(Charles); 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 4 to7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be onThursday, June 11, 2015 at 12 pm at the funeral home with cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to J.B. Ogle Animal Shelter(201 Willinger Lane, Jeffersonville,IN 47130).
