Earl Edward "Chet" Purcell, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
He was born on October 20, 1935 in English, Indiana to the late George Edward and Mildred (Seaton) Purcell. He is preceded in death by his wife Catherine Purcell and sister Elma Lee Wilkerson.
He will be forever loved and forever remembered. Chet was a retired carpenter, US Army Veteran and an avid Bluegrass Music fan.
Chet is survived by his sister, Marilyn Sue Wiggins, daughter, Mary Lynn McCutcheon (John), grandchildren Michael Brewer and Lisa Miller (John) and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Chet's memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
