Earl Coleman Peyton, 80, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026.
He was born on October 1, 1945 in Franklinton, Kentucky to the late Earl and Fannie (Gardner) Peyton. He is also preceded in death by his son, Timmy Peyton, father pop, Joe Clark, siblings, Calvin Pettit, Annetta Shannon, Elaine Stivers, Wayne Peyton, Joe Willis Clark, David Clark and Lonnie Clark.
Throughout his life, Earl was known for his steadfast work ethic, having spent much of his career at Fischers Packing Company in Louisville, Kentucky. His dedication to his work was matched only by his love for the outdoors, where he found peace and joy engaging in his favorite pastimes: hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. Earl especially treasured his time spent at the farm.
Earl’s legacy is carried on by his loving wife of 64 years, Loretta N. Peyton, who stood by his side through every chapter of their lives together. He is also survived by his daughter, Melissa Peyton, and his grandchildren — Amanda Peyton and her husband Brandon Swartzlander, and Nick Powell and great-granddaughter, Kimber Swartzlander.
Among those who shared in Earl’s life were his siblings Peggy Nation, Bobby Nation, Brenda Stevens Clark, and special sister and brother -in-law, Becky Nickell (Doug). He is also remembered fondly by a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Earl Coleman Peyton’s life was marked by a deep connection to family, a passionate love of the outdoors. His memory will remain a treasured part of the hearts of all who knew him.
Per Earl's wishes cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be held privately.
