Earl Alan Fansler, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was born on November 25, 1932, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Noble and Esperance (Hilt) Young. Earl worked as a professional photographer for many years, and also for Kroger Foods after he retired. He was a United States Marine veteran. Earl enjoyed music, photography, and birdwatching, along with spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Evelyn (Russo) Fansler; children, Karen Rogers (Kevin), Jenny Hart (Craig), and Eric Fansler (Kellie); and 7 grandchildren Jon, Reed, Ryan, Brad, Nick, Jon, and Kelsey.
There will be a memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
