Dwayne Allen Ott, 38, of Big Clifty, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, after giving brain cancer a long and courageous fight. Dwayne was a 2002 graduate of New Albany High School. Dwayne worked at FedEx in Louisville.
He was born on November 30, 1982, in New Albany, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his father, Darrell W. Ott.
Dwayne is survived by his parents, Linda and Mike Poat; sister, Jessica (Jason) Ver Ploeg; nephews, Anthony, Logan, and Connor Ver Ploeg; niece, Amelia Ver Ploeg; aunts and uncles; and numerous family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation was chosen following Dwayne's wishes.
The family requests that contributions in Dwayne's memory be made to the American Brain Tumor Association (www.abta.org).
