Durane "Malik" Eugene Massey Jr.

Durane "Malik" Eugene Massey Jr., 20, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021. Malik loved spending time with his siblings and family. He loved being outdoors riding dirt bikes, fishing, and playing football at Derby City Cardinals #13 where he set records for rushing yards. Malik was an avid Kentucky fan and loved to watch them play.

He was born on February 2, 2000 in Louisville, Kentucky to Durane Massey Sr. and Kimberly (Whobrey) Probus. He is preceded in death by his Brother, Cameron D. Whobrey; grandfather, David E. Whobrey.

Durane is survived by his loving family, mother, Kimberly A. Probus, father, Durane Eugene Massey, Sr.; siblings, Darien E. Massey, Aaliyah T. Whobrey, Nolan K. Whobrey; grandmother, Sarah R. Whobrey. As well as a host of family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
