Duane Edwin Jorgensen, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
He was born on July 6, 1944 in Hooper, Nebraska to the late Edwin and Sylvia Jorgensen.
Duane graduated from Texas Tech University and enjoyed playing basketball. After graduating college he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He was a huge fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and he and his father shared a passion for the Chicago Cubs. Duane loved the outdoors and being active. He enjoyed sight seeing and hiking at Cub Lake in Estes Park, Colorado.
He is survived by his son, Chad Jorgensen (Andrea), grandchildren; Carson Jorgensen, Wynn Jorgensen, Reese Jorgensen, former wife, Donna Jackson, step-children; Tod Mertz, Jr. and Kristin Timberlake.
Per Duane's wishes cremation was chosen and services will be private.
The family requests that contributions in Duane's memory be made to American Legion GI Post 244 and/or the Middletown VFW Post 1170.
