Dr. Michael Steven Davis

Dr. Michael Steven Davis, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Michael was a dedicated physician for Baptist Health and dedicated more than 30 years of service to caring for his patients. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. and was a car enthusiast with a passion for Corvettes and Shelby Mustangs. Most importantly, Michael cherished his family and the everlasting memories made with him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on March 2, 1954 in Lexington, Kentucky to Louis and Wilma (Gidcumb) Davis. He is preceded in death by his father, Louis T. Davis; mother, Wilma Newton; and sisters, Debi Magnes and Brenda Turner.

Michael is survived by his loving family, lifelong partner, Debra Locke; daughters, Lauren Davis, Andrea Davis, Katherine Johnston; step-son, Joseph (Heather) Locke; his loving grandchildren, Skylar Locke, Sam Locke; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville, 235 Juneau Drive. A celebration of his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
