Dr. Kathryn Ruth Marshall

Dr. Kathryn Ruth Marshall of Louisville, KY passed Wednesday October 21, 2026 surrounded by loving friends. Kathryn was born in New York City, New York, as an only child to Edward Howard Marshall and Elizabeth (Dean) Marshall, who preceded her in death. Kathryn was a Veteran with the Air Force National Guard, who served in Afghanistan. She also worked with the VA at Fort Knox. 

In retirement, Dr. Marshall donated her time and medical expertise at The Healing Place and pursued continuing education in Law and Culinary arts.Kathryn had a passion for animals and adored her dogs in particular. She is survived by her treasured K9 companion, Opera. Kathryn traveled extensively all over the world and enjoyed trying new cuisines.

A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, October 31st at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Dr.) from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. A service celebrating her life and honoring her military service will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
