Douglas S. Mcmillen

Douglas S. McMillen, 74, of New Albany, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Doug was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed going to flea markets, playing practical jokes on people, and spending time with his grandchildren. Doug will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of the Lord.

Doug was born on June 11, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William and Sadie (Bushong) McMillen. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, William, Donald, and Johnny; and his sister, Katherine.

Doug is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda McMillen; children, Christopher McMillen, Ronald Sexton, Deborah Iman, Edward Sexton, Betty Yenderrozos, Tina Sexton, Paul Sexton, and Rodney Sexton; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sadie Williams and Dottie Lyons; and brother, Dewey McMillen.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2017, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
