Douglas Gilbert Blevins

Douglas Gilbert "Doug" Blevins, 58, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 30, 2022. He was a proud member of AA for 36 years and was a mentor to many.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Blevins and his parents, Earl Gilbert and Peggy A. Blevins.

Doug leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Kristy Ray Blevins, Theresa Lynn Blevins, and Dakota Briann (Brandon) Grimes; 6 1/4 grandchildren, Selina, Sean, Hazel, Hailey, Sophia and Jane; sisters, Sandi, Robin and Missy; brother, Paul and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm. A celebration of Doug's life will be Saturday, April 9, 2022, beginning at 10:30am.

Doug will be laid to rest at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made toward the funeral expenses of Doug. At the bottom of the obituary select "Pay Your Bill" to make a monetary donation.
