Dorothy Jean (Mudd) Tomes, 84, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
She was born on October 5, 1936, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to the late Ernest and Frances Mudd. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James Tomes; sister, Ernestine Perkins; and, great-grandson, Kenny Dean.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Vickie Franklin, James Tomes (Brenda), Vernon Tomes, Lorrie Tomes, and Patricia Dudley (Gary); sister, Janice Alarie; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held privately at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Dorothy will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (1640 Lyndon Farm Court, Suite 104, Louisville, KY 40223).
