Dorothy Allen Rynes

Dorothy Louise Allen Rynes, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, reached up and took the Lord's hand at her home on Friday, March 11, 2022 . Dorothy was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 11, 1935, to the late Buford Allen and Irene (Marshall) Allen. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Rynes, and longtime companion, Joseph Cochran.

Dorothy is survived by her children, J.R. Allen, Roger Rynes, Dennis Rynes, Linda Rynes, David Rynes, and Elizabeth Weber; 11 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren; and her three favorite men, John Weber, Larry Skutchan, and Doug Spalding.

Dorothy loved her family and loved the Lord. She loved doing artwork and collecting porcelain dolls. Some of her family's fondest memories include (unbeknownst to the parents) putting her grandkids in dumpsters to look for valuables (junking). She loved to listen to all kinds of music and go shopping. She loved to tell everyone that Jesus loves you and give everyone the peace sign as you were leaving her driveway. She was happy and kind to everyone and always had a big smile on her face. She hugged everyone she knew and even some she didn't.
