Dorothy Lynn Richardson

Dorothy Lynn "Dot" Richardson, 81, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020. Dot was a member of New Beginnings Church in New Albany, a former member of MCC in Louisville, and the BPW Hoosiers Softball League. She loved UofL basketball, completing jigsaw puzzles, her church family, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was born on June 20, 1939, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Walter Richardson and Virginia (Daily) Drake. Along with her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy Richardson, Walter Richardson, Chester Richardson, Virginia Zinninger, and Robert Zinninger.

Dot is survived by her loving spouse, Angela "Angie" Troncin; children, Amy (Martin) Galvan, Sarah (Kendrick Taylor) Troncin, and Miah Jamison; grandchildren, Cayden Galvan, Ja'Cobi Taylor, Annaleah Galvan, Gabriel Galvan, Ja'Leah Troncin, Makenzie Taylor, Tyson Taylor, Tristin Taylor, Christian Galvan, and Kendall Taylor; siblings, Bettie Liddick and Talbert (Carol) Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at New Albany National Cemetery in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Dot's memory be made to New Albany-Floyd County Animal Shelter.
