Dorothy Marie (Friant) Myre, 92, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1924, in Paducah, Kentucky, to George and Myrtle (Rutherford) Friant. Dorothy was a member at Southside Baptist Church in Paducah, Kentucky. She was a great caregiver and a great cook. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, sewing, and taking care of her family.
Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Myre; a son, Edwin Paul Myre. She is survived by her loving daughter, Gloria Howie; grandchildren, Jennifer-Myre Evans (Scott) and Christopher Ryan Howie; daughter-in-law, Rose Myre; 2 great-grandchildren, Spencer Ellis, and Amanda Deal.
There will be a service held at Milner Orr Funeral Home in Paducah, Kentucky ( 120 Memorial Drive, Paducah, Kentucky 42001).
