Dorothy Ann "Cookie" (Minton) Lynch, age 66, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Born on August 4, 1959, she was the daughter of Milford and Kizzie (Hooker) Minton. Throughout her life, Cookie dedicated herself to the care of others, having a lifelong career as a health care giver. In 2005, she and her husband, Mike Lynch, opened the Donut Frenzy, in Georgetown, where many came to appreciate her warmth and friendliness.
Cookie was known for her laid-back personality and her ability to find joy in the simple things in life. She especially treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, each moment filled with love and laughter. In addition to her role as a grandmother, Cookie had a fondness for testing her luck in playing bingo.
Cookie is survived by her husband, Mike Lynch; her children, Stephanie Ellis and Gary Hash (Samantha). She was the proud grandmother to Dominic and Julian Paniccia, Jonah Ellis, Brenden, Brooklynn, Bryton, Blayton, and Parker Hash, and a loving great-grandmother to Lucca and Micah Paniccia.
In addition to her immediate family, Cookie is survived by her siblings: Oakie Crawford, Lucy Marsh, Geraldine "Jerry" Stanford, Roberta Lee (Norman), and sister-in-law, Suzanne Minton. She also leaves behind numerous generations of nieces and nephews who will forever remember her loving spirit.
Cookie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bobby, Otis, and Stanley Minton, and sister, Mamie Farnsley.
A visitation will be held in her honor from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, followed by a graveside service at Edwardsville - Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
