Dorothy Margaret (Lucas) Laun

Dorothy Margaret (Lucas) Laun, 89, of Elizabeth, Indiana passed away on January 7, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was a member of First Christian Church in Jeffersonville. Margaret worked as a sales clerk at JC Penny's and Sears in Louisville and with the Louisville Division of Police as a traffic guard.

She was born on October 23, 1928 in Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late Thomas L. and Christine (Owens) Lucas. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Quentin "Quiz" Laun; sister, Louvina Bunch; and brothers, Joseph and Raymond "Tommy" Lucas.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Diane Wilson (Steven); son, Rick Laun (Teddy); sisters, Anna Seay (Frank) and Betty Vaughn; granddaughters, Tammy Powers (Ed), Nicki Wellinghurst (Robert), Allie (Tommy), Lindy, and Stephanie Laun; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday, January 10, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 9 AM on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
