Dorothy "Momma Dot" Gordon, age 86 of Louisville, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016. Originally from Morley, TN., she was a former Union Representative for Lion Uniforms in Williamsburg, Kentucky, and was also a long-time hostess at Jade Palace in Jeffersontown. Dorothy was a member of the Sweet Adelines for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and her parents, Kelly and Clemma Petrey Rogers; and her siblings, Charles Rogers and Polly Sisk.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Karen Morrow (Dallas) and Paula Ulery (Denny); grandchildren, Gina Ulery, Zachary Ulery; great-granddaughter, Makya Ulery; nieces and nephews, Trish Meadors (Bruce), Rhonda Knight (David), Kim Humphrey (Frank), Tracy Sisk (Tika), Pam Rogers, Jimmie Jo Thomas, Thelma Gaupin, Buddy Ulery; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 3-8pm Monday, February 1, 2016 and 9:30 -11am Tuesday, February 2nd at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Funeral ceremony will be at 11am Tuesday, February 2nd at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Jeffersontown Cemetery.
