Dorothy Marie (Spond) Chinnock, 90, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday evening, December 8, 2016. She was a member of Covenant Life Church.

She was born on December 13, 1925, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles, Sr., and Maude (Thomas) Spond. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband, John Chinnock; and siblings, Charles Spond, Jr., Anna Wheeler, and Laverne Nipple.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Maria Jacobs (Merle); brother, Kenneth Spond (Judith); sister-in-law, Joyce Spond; grandchildren, Michael Jacobs (Elaina) and Kristina Heeter (Adam); great-grandchildren, James, Michael, Decker, Spera, and Cadell.

Cremation was chosen following Dorothy's wishes. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Covenant Life Church (2326 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).

The family requests that contributions in her memory be made to her church.
