Doris Irene (Bowman) Washmuth, 91, went home to heaven on January 5th, & is now safe in the arms of Jesus.
Born in East Enterprise Indiana to Ernest Everett & Ruth Anna (Houze) Bowman, she was a wife , homemaker and devoted Mother.
She & her husband were founding members of New Salem Baptist Church.
She loved to take care of her home & family & loved yard sales, Christian music & her devotionals.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harold Washmuth, her parents Ernest & Ruth Bowman, brothers, Denver, Everett & James Bowman.
She is survived by daughters Diana Clementi (Francis), Deborah West (Chester), sisters, Wilma Turner & Marjorie Wentworth (Marshall),
& granddaughters, Maria Coleman (Craig), Angela Clementi, & Teresa Ruffra (Jacob), great grandchildren, Silver, Tristan & Lorilei & many nieces & nephews.
Visitation is at Newcomer Southwest, Wednesday January 13th, 4-8 PM & 9-11 AM Thursday January 14th, before the services at 11 AM.
Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Memorial gifts can be made to New Salem Baptist Church or American Patriots.
