Doris Jean(Smith) Dunn

Doris Jean (Smith) Dunn, 65, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016. She retired from the Social Security Administration after 24 years of service and was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. Doris loved horseback riding and all of her animals. She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, and traveling. Doris had a big heart that was always full of love for her family and friends.

She was born on May 15, 1951 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Clyde and Mary (Wright) Smith. Doris is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Ralph Dunn, Jr.; children, Brent Brinley (Melissa), Chandra Seale (Brian), Shannon Phelps (Jason), Ralph Dunn (Venice), Wendy Dunn, and Richard "Mike" Dunn; siblings, Linda Brown (Bob), Clyde "Sonny" Smith, Herman "Pooch" Smith; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2 PM to 8 PM Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
