Doris Jean (McCartin) Biesel, 91, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. She enjoyed boating and spending time out on the river. Doris also had a love for fishing and visiting the beach.
She was born on June 25, 1927, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Mary (Wahle) McCartin. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Biesel; and grandson, Allan Bauman.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Shirley Eisman (Rick), Terry Hulett, and Patti Biesel; grandchildren, Joseph Paulk, Matthew Hulett, Sara Biesel, Andrea Hicks (Blake), and Joshua Eisman (Mackenzi); and great-grandsons, Thane and Aiden.
Cremation was chosen following Doris' wishes. She will be laid to rest privately beside her husband at All Souls Catholic Church Cemetery in Sanford, Florida.
Contributions in her memory be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children (520 West Chestnut Street, Louisville, KY 40202).
