Dorendia K. Tucker

Dorendia K. Tucker passed away on August 26, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana, just days before her 76th birthday. She was born on August 30, 1950, in Evarts, Kentucky.

Dorendia found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, making quilts, playing pool, and spending time in nature. These interests reflected her love of both creativity and the outdoors, and they brought comfort and happiness to her life.

Above all else, Dorendia’s family was the center of her world. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were her greatest pride, and she treasured the time they shared together and the memories they made as a family. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and for the place she held in the hearts of those who knew her.

Dorendia is survived by her husband, Paul W. Tucker. She also leaves behind her sons, Paul A. (Jennifer) Tucker, Chris (Shelly) Tucker, and Brian Tucker, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Ida Hamilton and Debra McCreary; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family will carry forward the memory of her love, her warmth, and the many moments they shared together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Christine McCreary; her brothers, Lloyd McCreary, Robert McCreary Jr., Donald McCreary, and Ronnie McCreary; and her sisters, Eula Hardesty, Beulah Edwards, and Trinia Edwards.

Visitation will be held on September 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
