Donnal R. "Bud" Harney

Donnal R. "Bud" Harney, 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Bud was a faithful member of the Parkway Southern Baptist Church.

He was born on May 4, 1940 in Cynthiana, Kentucky to the late Luther Harney and Louise Ritchie Duke. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Wanda Smith Harney; and sister, Diane Klingsmith.

Bud is survived by his children, Jimmy Martin, Linda Martin (Will Divine), Tommy Martin, Ronnie Martin (Kathy Benham), and Michelle Henderson (David); sister, Geneva Goodman; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and continues on Monday, July 8, 2024, after 9:00 am. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

He enjoyed serving at his church in numerous special ministries like sound and music, van driving, kids ministry, food pantries and many others. Bud had a heart to serve others and dearly loved spending time with his family.
