Donna Karolyn Sever (Bibbs), passed away on September 8, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana, at the age of 84. She was born on August 18, 1942, in Madison, Indiana, and lived a life centered on faith, family, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.
Donna was a graduate of Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana. She went on to work for many years as a warehouse manager, bringing dedication and steady commitment to her career. She was also a proud member of St. Paul II in Louisville, Kentucky, a place that reflected the faith that was part of her life.
She found joy in the things she loved most: dogs, old cars, UK Sports, photography and music, especially Elvis. More than anything, Donna treasured time spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and being with them was among her proudest blessings.
Donna is survived by her children, Jeff Sever and his wife Pam, Teresa Gray, and Michael Sever and his wife Angela. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Britney Price and her husband Andrew, Lucas Sever and his wife Marianne, Lindsey Dailey and her husband Sam, and Tori Smith. Her memory will continue to live on in her great-grandchildren, Shyanne, Karya, Kainen, Noah, Isaac, Andi, and Arya. She is also survived by her nephew, Scott Bibbs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lowell and Daisy Bibbs; her brother, Charles “Charlie” Lanier Bibbs; her nephew, Tim Bibbs; and her life partner, Carol Montfort.
Family and friends will be received for a viewing on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, Indiana 47150 and a Celebration of Life will follow there at 6:00 p.m.
Donna will be remembered for her love, her strength, and the warmth she gave so freely to those around her. Her family will carry her memory forward with deep gratitude and enduring love.
The family requests that contributions in Donna’s memory be made to Clark County Humane Society.
