Donna Metcalf

Donna Metcalf, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026.

She was born on May 31, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Leonard and Estelle (Curry) Rice. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Metcalf.

She was a 1962 graduate of Eastern High School, Donna retired after many years of service with Sears. She was a longtime member of Eastwood Baptist Church.  Donna was well known by many for her love and rescue of cats throughout her life.

Donna is survived by her loving sister, Connie R. McKinney (Len) and nephew, Eric McKinney (Kirsten).

The family would like to acknowledge Brent and Phyllis Davenport for their continued support of Donna.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).

Due to inclement weather burial will be private at Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Donna’s memory be made to Kentucky Humane Society (241 Steedly Drive Louisville, KY 40214).
