Donna Jean (Boaz) Krieger, 67, of Greenville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015. She graduated from New Albany High School in 1966 and was a member of St. Mary's Navilleton Catholic Church for 36 years. Donna retired from New Albany-Floyd County Schools after 26 years of teaching special education. She was very involved with the Floyd County Relay For Life and was an avid IU fan.
She was born on February 9, 1948 in Greenville to the late Gilmer G. Boaz & Lois C. (Evans) Boaz. Donna is survived by her loving husband of over 45 years, Walter "Butch" Krieger, Jr.; children, Jennifer Krieger Riley, Jeremy Krieger (Lori Ann), and Miles Krieger (Allie); brother, Stewart Boaz (Sharon); sister-in-law, Sandra Frank (Bill); grandchildren, Grace, Madeline, Nolan, Bradley, & Landrey.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015 and from 1 PM to 8 PM on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday at St. Mary's Navilleton Catholic Church (7500 Navilleton Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
Contributions in Donna's memory may be made to WHAS Crusade for Children (520 W. Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40202).
