Donna Kaye(Banet) Grimes

Donna Kaye (Banet) Grimes, 71, of New Albany, Indiana, went home to be with her heavenly Father and two precious boys on Sunday, January 24, 2016. She retired from ACBL in Jeffersonville and was a member of Cherry Street Church of Christ.

She was born on August 21, 1944, in New Albany to the late Clarence "Greenie" and Cora (Allen) Banet. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Kevin Grimes and Todd Grimes; siblings, Faye Rogers and Jerry Banet; and beloved father of her sons, Roy Grimes.

Donna is survived by her sisters, Judy Keithley (Don) and Vicky Longest (David); as well as many nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members and friends that lovingly knew her as "Aunt Donna."

Cremation was chosen following Donna's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Cherry Street Church of Christ (302 Cherry Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150) with her Memorial Service taking place at 12:00 p.m. Donna will be laid to rest at a later date with her sons at Edwardsville Cemetery.
