Donald "Donnie" F. Vardeman, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
He was born on January 14, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Dorothy (Wilson) Vardeman. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandsons, Sean Shoemaker and Joseph Shoemaker.
Donald was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing and UK sports. Donald was a hard worker that took care of his family; raising three kids as a single dad. He will be remembered for always being willing to help others and being a "mama's boy". Donald leaves a legacy that will be cherished and carried on by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his loving children, Stephanie Shoemaker, Timothy "Bubba" Vardeman and Linda (Jonah) Hays, grandchildren, Nora Hays, Daniel Hays and Aaron Hays, great granddaughter, Avery Shoemaker, his siblings, Barbara (Jimmy) Burckel, David Vardeman, Vickie Vardeman and Sherry (Mike) Wallace, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Donald 's memory be made to the American Lung Association.
