Donald Jack Lung

February 16, 1927 — April 6, 2020

Donald Jack Lung, 93, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020. Don was a proud veteran of the United States Army Air Forces who served during World War II and was also a member of the VFW in New Albany. He was a leader for the Boy Scouts of America for 23 years and a treasurer of the Ohio Valley Blind Group. He was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church where he served on the church board. Don enjoyed growing in his relationship with God through his men's group at church and attending a Bible study, both at St. Mary of the Knobs and Mount St. Francis.

He was born on February 16, 1927, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Daniel and Jessie (Lowrey) Lung. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Walter Franklin; and grandson, Ian Banet.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Vivian (Brown) Lung; children, Donald Mark (Jana) Lung, Daniel (Lisa) Lung, Randall Lung, Mary Anne Lynch, and Roxanne (Randall) Banet; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Don's memory be made to the VFW Hobart Beach Post 1693 (1919 Grant Line Rd, New Albany, IN 47150).
