Donald Ray Knasel

Donald Ray Knasel, age 84 of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. MSgt. Donald R. Knasel (Ret.) was a twenty-four year retired veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. After retiring, he managed the Jefferson Gun Club and then went on to be a bus driver for the Jefferson County Public School system. Donald was born in New Albany, Indiana and graduated high school at Morgan Township. He is preceded in death by his daughter Donna, father Wayne Knasel Sr., mother Emma Knasel and eldest sister Doris Wells Badger.

Donald is survived by wife, Natalia Pairez; son, Timothy (Patti); daughter, Jessica Tucker; and grandchildren, Alex and Noelle; along with siblings, Wayne Knasel, Jr. , Joann Johnson, William Knasel, Sr., Jeanette Humphrey and Peggy Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering to celebrate Donald's life will be from 3 to 6 pm on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project.
