Donald Raymond Hillegas, 78, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. He was a United States Army veteran and the retired owner of Don's Water Hauling. Don was a Catholic by faith and a huge fan of Elvis.
He was born on May 13, 1939, in New Baltimore, Pennsylvania, to the late Bernard and Rose (Schaab) Hillegas. Don was also preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda Hillegas.
Don is survived by his children, Adonica Hillegas, Dina Lynch (Shawn), and Wes Hillegas (Michelle); 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Lazer.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
