Donald Lee "Boge" Haworth, 67, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021. Boge was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the American Legion Post #35 in Jeffersonville. He enjoyed fishing, jamming to old rock-n-roll and classic country music, and telling stories to anyone who had the time to listen. Boge loved watching old westerns, especially "The Duke," and cheering on Bobby Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers, all while enjoying his Stroh's beer.
He was born on May 1, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Irving and Barbara (Haas) Haworth. Along with his parents, Boge is preceded in death by his stepson, Scott Traver.
Boge is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Haworth; children, Terry Shayne Haworth, Dustin (Christina) Becker, and Corey (Kristen) Becker; stepchildren, Robin (Keith) Sheppard and Michelle (Ronnie) Cash; sister, Marsha (John) Tharp; grandchildren, Katherine Haworth, Audrey Haworth, Nora Becker, Levi Williams, and Jonathan Moses; niece, Andrea (Toby) Jennings; nephew, Aaron Bradshaw; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane) and will continue on Thursday, February 4, 2021, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, his Funeral Service will be held privately. Burial and military honors will follow at the Sellersburg Cemetery in Sellersburg, Indiana.
