Donald Lee Green

Donald Lee"Donnie" Green, 41, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020, after battling cancer. He was a life-time auxiliary member of the VFW Post 1693. Donnie was a huge fan of horror movies, especially the Jason and Freddie Krueger series. He loved cruising in his Mustang, as well as playing pool and computer gaming. Donnie also enjoyed ghost hunting, shopping, and spending time outside on his bike.

He was born on December 10, 1978, in New Albany, Indiana. Donnie was preceded in death by his grandparents. Donald Green, Sr., and William and Gaydean Morrow.

Donnie is survived by his parents, Donald Green, Jr., (Darlene) and Renee (Fetz) Yawn; grandmother, Helen Green; sisters, Stacey Robb and Jennifer Sanford; aunts and uncles, Dean Green, Tracy Taylor, and Theresa Clem (Tom); best friend, Robert Ojeda; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Services will be held privately, and Donnie will be laid to rest at Edwardsville Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
