Donald Ray Gibson

Donald Ray "Don" Gibson, 86, of Louisville, passed away on February 24, 2017. Don was born on July 19, 1930 in West Liberty, Kentucky to the late Orville and Opal Gibson. He was a Korean War Veteran and retired from Henry Vogt Machine Company. He was a member of St. Paul's Baptist Church at Shively Heights.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Flora. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Mildred Pearl Gibson; daughter, Donna Preston (Dean); granddaughter, Leslie Hassler (Shaun); and beloved great-granddaughter, Abigail Hassler.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, February 27, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272) and continue on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:30 pm. Burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West will follow services.
