Donald Edward "Eddie" Burns, 56, passed away on July 1, 2014. He was an auto mechanic and an avid baseball fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Helen Burns; brother, Terry Burns and sister, Pat Heibert.
He is survived by his sisters, Bonnie (Terry) Gilpin, Judi (Doug) Dearmond and Kelly (Barry) Scott; grandchildren, Steve E. Swartz, Aaron Akins, Mallory Akins and Emily Akins and great-granddaughter, Paisley Swartz and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering will be Sunday, July 6, 2014, from 2pm-4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) with a memorial service beginning at 4pm.
