Donald R. Craig

October 22, 1951 — October 29, 2020

Donald Ray Craig, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020, while under Hosparus care due to a unexpected illness.

He was born on October 22, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late John Herbert Craig, Jr. and Gloria Veteto Craig Fitzpatrick. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his step father, James Fitzpatrick, Jr. brother, John Paul Craig, Sr. and his brother in-law, Jerry Shepherd.

Donnie's humble beginnings helped shape him into the man he was today. He was a hard worker; working for Phillip Morris for 32 1/2 years. He also proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing and being on the farm. He will be remembered for many things, but most of all he will be remembered for the love he had for his family and his smile and laughter.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Helena Craig, children, Tiffany (Andy) Pendleton, Courtney Craig, and Joshua Craig, grandchildren, AJ Roberson, Sierra Hooper, Jordis Miller, and Avery Craig, along with his sisters, Nancy Shepherd, Gloria Jean Griffin and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will take place from 1-4pm on Saturday, November 7th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). At the conclusion of visitation, military honors will be taking place.

The family kindly suggest the expressions of sympathy be made to the family.
