Donald Roy Cook, age 66 of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Don was many wonderful things, among which were a poet, artist, hunter, fisherman, cowboy at heart and a western enthusiast. He was a lousy card player. He was a barkeep for over 20 years at the Milner, the Outlook, the Coachlamp and several other places, loved yard sales and shopping at Kroger. Don made everyone laugh. He was a wonderful husband, dad and papa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. and Parnella Timmons Cook; and a brother, William Cook.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Chad Foreman, Justin Cook (Kim), Mathew Cook (Amanda) and Sarah Villatoro (Maynor); grandchildren, Alexander Cook, Freya Cook, Nora Cook, Nick Starr, Blake Starr, Joelle Starr, Vinny Villatoro, Mayra Villatoro, Hunter Cook, Raven Cook and Vanessa Kenyon; siblings, Christene Airy (David), Curtis Cook (Teresa) and Jody Stanley; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 4-8pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Don's life will be 8am Tuesday, January 9th at the funeral home, followed by interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
