Donald Lee Brumleve

Donald Lee Brumleve, a life-long Louisvillian, died on January 29, 2022 in the loving presence of family. He was 66.
Don, born August 20, 1955, often revisited good memories of growing up with his identical twin brother in Louisville's south end. After graduating from Doss High School and completing an apprenticeship, he became an electrician. A proud member of UAW Local 862, Don worked for 28 years at Ford, where he was known for entertaining his colleagues with his quick and dry wit - a trait he displayed into his final days.
Don was a voracious reader, a history buff, and a classic rock enthusiast. He had an extensive album collection and an uncanny ability to recall details about artists. An avid sports fan, Don was particularly devoted to his "beloved Cardinals" as he called them, cheering on University of Louisville across several sports. After retiring, he found an interest in cooking and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes.
Don's big heart was most evident in his joyous interactions with his granddaughter, Peyton. He also took special delight in his granddogs, Willow and Freddie.
Left to cherish Don's memory along with them are his wife, ReJeanna; daughter, Amber (Jason) Coomer; mother, Jean Brumleve; stepdaughter, Jennifer Coates; granddaughter, Peyton Coomer; sister-in-law, Ann M. Brumleve; nieces, Erin (J.B) Remmel and Caitlin (Nick) Ullrich; and many more.
Don will be reunited with his father, Marvin Brumleve; his brother, Ronald Brumleve; his grandparents; all the dogs he's loved before; and other predeceased family and friends.
Private Family Services will take place due to the COVID Pandemic.
The family would like to thank Norton Audubon and Hosparus Health for all the extra care and support they provided Don and his family.
