Dona Joy

Dona Joy, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Dona was a devout child of God, she spread the word of the Lord from the age of 16 on. She brought many smiles to countless people through Clown ministry, Sunday school, Senior Center ministry, and nursing. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whom will never be forgotten.

She was born on October 20, 1943 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to Ural and Kathryn (Martin) Waddell. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ural Henry Waddell and Kathryn Waddell; husband, Jimmie Lee Massie, husband, Raymond Pete Joy; daughter, Victoria Lynn Kiefer.

Dona is survived by her loving family, children Edmund Dale (Jackie) Massie, Vaughan Jeffery Massie, and Jimmie Lee Massie; grandchildren, James Elijah Wipker, James Robert Massie, Philip Christopher Massie, Melanie Renee Devore, Brian David Kramp, Dylan Charles Kramp, Geoffory Edward Kramp, Edmund Elijah-Vaughan Massie, Martin Lewis Kiefer, Emma Katheryn Kiefer, Evan Zettwoch, Kasey Sue Massie, Kayla Renee Massie, Amelia Adelaide Massie, Ashley Nicole Massie; 21 great-grandchildren. As well as an endless list of family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Visitation will continue on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 9am to 3pm. Her Funeral Service will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with cremation to follow
