Dona Cherie Mills

Dona Cherie Mills, 57, of Louisville, passed away on February 6, 2016. Dona was born in Venice, Italy on November 29, 1958, to Pal and Dona Faye Mills. She moved to Louisville at a young age and graduated from Valley High School in 1976. Dona worked as a builder, she enjoyed music and taught dance. She loved to care for her children, grandchildren, and many others.

Dona was preceded in death by her father, Pal. She is survived by her mother, Dona Faye Mills; daughter, Debi Caldwell (Barry) and Sara Sklodoski; six grandchildren, Isaac Patterson, Essence Sklodoski, Hayleigh Caldwell, Lillian Ison, Santana Ison, and Samson Sklodoski; sister, Debra Claxton (James); brothers, Mike Mills (Sharon), Abraham Mills (Cathy), and Mark Mills (Lisa); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral ceremony will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 12:00 pm until time of service.
