Dona Beakes

Dona Beakes, 58, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019. Dona was Registered Respiratory Therapist. She was a member of American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC), National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care, and American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab. She also was a clinical educator to JCTC and Ivy Tech College Students.

She was born on February 10, 1961 in Louisville, Kentucky to Thomas and Jo (Wilson) Sanders. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Timothy Beakes Sr.

Dona is survived by her daughter, Misty (Stephen) Cawood, Sons, Johnny (Melissa) Gattis, and Timothy Beakes Jr, daughter, Lauretta Jo (Andrew) Golde, sisters, Debra Sanders, and Michelle Ledbetter. Dona leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Priscilla Cawood, Tailyn Johns, Broderick Cawood, Tarryn Johns, Jordan Gattis, Colten Golde, and Ayden Golde, nephew, Shaun Vegas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am with Pastor Lisa Larson officiating on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with entombment to follow at in Evergreen Mausoleum
