Don "Donnie Mac" McDonald, 76, of Louisville, passed away on January 18, 2015. Donnie was a truck driver for over 35 years before retiring from Local 89 and Brantley Security.

Donnie was born on October 16, 1938, in Louisville to the late Orman and Essie (Cook) McDonald. In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his brother, Joe McDonald, brother-in-law, Roger Willis and Dale Skaggs.

Donnie is survived by his daughter, Donnetta Carby (Marty), granddaughters, Hanna Embry (Shaun), Jenna Baker (Jacob), Kelsi Clemons (Brady), Madison and Macy Carby, and two sisters, Mickie Willis and Sue White (Clay).

He is survived by his companion, caregiver, and best friend, Doris Abbott. Her two sons, Daniel C. Skaggs, Sr. (Amanda) and Barron D. Skaggs (Donna).

Donnie is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Daniel, Tonya, Amanda, Andrea, Whitney, Ashley, Leighana and 15 great-grandchildren, as well as his beloved pet, Abby.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Donnie's funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens in Cecilia, KY.
