Don Johnson

Donald R. Johnson, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.

He was born on December 17, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Overton and Juanita (Grimes) Johnson.

Don was a very generous kind hearted man. He cared more for the people around him than he cared about himself. He honorably served the citizens of Jeffersontown and surrounding communities as a Police Officer from 1974-2003. He was loved and cherished deeply by his family and he will be greatly missed.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Sue, children; Jonathan, Desiree, Daniel (Amanda), Isaiah, Chasity, Brenda, two grandchildren; Ashlynn and MaKayla, siblings; Sharon Clark (Mike), Wayne Johnson (Sharon), Roger Johnson, Christy Moore and Tammy Lee. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).

His funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the funeral home with burial to follow on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (2501 North Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160).

Memorial contributions in Don's memory be made to the family in the name of Linda and/or Daniel Johnson.
