Dolores A. "Dee" Northcut, age 90 of Louisville, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. Dee worked as an office manager for HC Ackerman and Son Contractors for many years before then working for Meridian Insurance, and later as a medical coder before retiring in 1996. She was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church and a former member of St. Matthews Business Professional Women. Dee loved doing arts and crafts with the church craft group. She loved attending Bible studies at church and also enjoyed scrapbooking and working the daily crossword puzzle in the Louisville Courier Journal. She especially loved watching her Kentucky Wildcats and never missed a basketball game on TV, but loved going to the games in person when she could. Before she moved into managed care, she was never without her miniature dachshund "Baby" who was always in her lap. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Northcut; her parents, Harold C. Ackerman, Sr. and Helen Gray Ackerman; and her brother, Harold C. "Bud" Ackerman, Jr.
Dee is survived by her loving son, Anthony "Tony" Northcut; and a host of friends.
A gathering to celebrate Dee's life will be from 3 to 6pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. 40243.
