Dola Pearl Kessinger

Dola Pearl Kessinger, 73, of Vine Grove, Kentucky passed away on March 25, 2018. She was very active in Meade County with the senior citizens way before becoming one. She began a small business by traveling across many states with her favorite older friends.

Dola was born on December 22, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Alford and Margaret (Hawkins) Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Steven Hamlet, and sister, Kathy Hicks.

Dola is survived by her children, sons, James Dale Hamlet and Ray Hamlet; sisters, Irene Ann Schraffenberger and Janice Bullock; brothers, William Thompson, Jr. and David Wayne Thompson; her beloved grandchildren, Julie Fox, Randy Hamlet, Tiffany Hamlet, Steven Hamlet Jr., and Tommy Hamlet; and many extended family and friends all who will greatly miss her.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, March 30, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Friday at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel
