Diannia Gwynn (Bottorff) Smith

Diannia Gwynn (Bottorff) Smith, 76, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019. She enjoyed attending classic car shows with her husband, as well as playing Bunco and getting together with her friends from grade school.

She was born on April 15, 1943, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, to the late Russell and Hazel (Willis) Bottorff. Diannia was also preceded in death by her sister, Gailean Carroll; and grandson, Joseph Knox.

Diannia is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, Boyd Smith; children, Russell Smith (Cathy), Julie Scholl (Noel), and Damon Smith (Missy); sister, Donna Hale (Gary); grandchildren, Tara Bowen (Cody), Katy Smith, Olivia Foss (Garrett), Tanner Scholl, and Wyatt Smith; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Eleanor, and Gage.

Cremation was chosen following Diannia's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).

Contributions in Diannia's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205) or the American Cancer Society (1640 Lyndon Farm Court, Suite 104, Louisville, KY 40223).
