Diane Hatcher Dayne, a devoted and compassionate registered nurse whose career spanned over four decades, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on June 27, 1958, in Panama Canal, Panama, Diane lived a life marked by kindness, positivity, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others.
Throughout her remarkable career, Diane touched countless lives with her expertise and gentle spirit. More recently, she served as the Director of Clinical Informatics at Senior Lifestyle, where she dedicated the last six years of her professional journey. Her leadership and warmth endeared her to her team, who adored her and will deeply feel her absence. Diane's work was an extension of her innate desire to nurture and help, perfectly reflecting her outgoing, friendly, and selfless nature.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Diane’s heart was fullest when she was with her family and cherished furry companions. She delighted in every moment spent with her beloved dog, Cara, whose companionship brought her immense joy. Among her proudest accomplishments were her roles as a mother to her sons, Austin and Adam, and as a Nina to Hayden, whom she loved and spoiled unconditionally. The bonds she forged with her family were the cornerstone of her life, bringing her endless happiness and pride.
Diane’s spirited love extended to her passions outside the medical world, where she was known as an avid New York Jets fan, showing her enthusiasm and playful spirit in cheering for the team she loved.
Diane is survived by her sons Austin Yearta and Adam (Hannah) Yearta, and her treasured grandson, Hayden Yearta. She also leaves behind her sisters Joan (Ron) Robinson and Joyce Briehof, and her brother Dennis (Joanne) Hatcher, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends all of whom will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Era and Elenora Hatcher.
A Celebration of Life to honor Diane’s remarkable journey will be held on Sunday, May 31st from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Forest Springs Health Campus, located at 4120 Wooden Acre Lane, Louisville, KY 40245 (Look for the Club House Signs). This gathering will be a heartfelt opportunity for all whose lives she touched to come together in remembrance and gratitude for her enduring legacy of care and love.
Diane’s life was a testament to the power of kindness and dedication. She faced each day with a loving and positive heart, becoming a caregiver not only by profession but by her very nature. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with generosity, warmth, and selflessness. She will be profoundly missed, yet forever remembered for the extraordinary love she gave to her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
