Detra was born to Ernest and Agnes Adams on January 23rd, 1950. She went
home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on September 29, 2021.
After Retiring from Brown and Williamson, Humana and Modelling she
Enjoyed baking, gardening and reselling on Poshmark and in Peddler's
Mall. But most of all she loved spending time with her children and
grandchildren. Whether it was family gatherings, school events, or
extracurricular activities, she loved spending time with her boys. She
was so excited to welcome her first granddaughter, although she didn't
meet her on earth, we know she was watching her from heaven.
Detra led a life devoted to Christ. She was loved by many and shared the
love of Jesus through her encounters with people daily. She was truly a
light. With her beautiful personality and loving demeanour, She never
met a Stanger. She was selfless, strong family oriented, hardworking,
wise, God fearing & didn't hesitate to tell someone the truth in love.
Detra is survived by her daughters Tammi French (Don), Ina Crossen and
Chloe Crossen; grandchildren Shannon, Jaylen, Joseph, Liam & Nilyn;
siblings Ernest Adams, Jr., Patricia Booth (Charles), Marcia Ludlow,
Anita Walker and Ronnie Adams. A host of nieces, nephews, extended
family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest B.
Adams, Sr., & Agnes Mae Adams; her sister Alicia Johnson, and Niece
Asia Ludlow.
