Derik Vincent Walker, 46, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed on September 6,2024. Derik is remembered as a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He had a profound love for the outdoors, frequently engaging in activities such as hunting and fishing. Known for his infectious sense of humor, joy, and laughter to those around him, making every gathering special. Derik cherished riding four-wheelers and bikes, reveling in nature’s beauty.


Born on July 20, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of Michael and Darcy (Wright) Walker. He leaves behind a caring family, including his father, Michael Day (Denise) Walker, Sr., and his mother, Darcy A. Townsend; Brothers, Michael Walker (LeAnn) and Jonathon Walker; Sister, Haleigh Tudor; Grandfather, Wayne Walker, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.


Visitation for Derik will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. A memorial service will take place at 6:00 PM on the same day.
